Newcomb VIC Hike

It was raining off and on the first day of my three day Car Camping at Lake Harris Campground with my sons, so we spent most of the day hiking the approximately 3.6 miles of interpretive trails on the 236-acre property of the Newcomb VIC, located along the shoreline of Rich Lake and Rich Lake outlet, not too far a drive from the Lake Harris State Campground.

The trails are mostly flat and very kid friendly. The trails consist of a mix of compacted dirt and gravel, and boardwalks winding through habitats of lake shore, wetlands, old growth forest, and mixed northern forest.
