Marin Palisades Trail Mountain Bike Project On Hold
I had planned to install a spare Rock Shox Jett on the Marin Palisades Trail frame but changed my mind. I got another one off eBay. The shock is used. It’s not a Manitou Magnum that came with a new 2001 Marin Palisades Trail. But it is the same color – red. The shock is a Manitou Bulge FS Ti. I’m not sure if it is a better fork that the Magnum.
In any case, I was expecting the Manitou this past Saturday but it didn’t arrive. So the Marin Palisades Trail project is on hold. I wanted to install the shock so that I can put the wheels on and stand the bike up while working on it. I don’t have a bike work stand so I do what I can to make the job easier.
Until the shock comes and I can continue with the project, I will post a hike review I did with my sons this Sunday. We hiked 3.4 miles of the Appalachian Trail (AT).
